It's not "The Apprenti." It's "The Apprentice."

I can only summarize it because it's not like i've ben watching much TV lately. but the big homie did it. Randal Pinkett is the latest winner of Donald Trump's show, The Apprentice. Yes, he's the first Balck man to win. Yes, the haters are still afloat. I'll let my homegirl Dizzy give you the straight run-down on the finale and the ensuing bullshT. I'm loving her analysis right now of how his win proves that "nice guys finish first." See there, being an a$$hole ain't all that it's cracked up to be. But nonetheless, big shout-out to the big homie for doing his thing all season long and repping for his peoples; Black people, entrepreneurs, Black men, engineers, business leaders, techies, nerds, track stars, Jersey cats, NSBE members, and all others.
lastly....wtf?!

I thought it was classless of Donald Trump to bring up hiring Rebecca in the middle of Randal's celebration. Why should he have to share the glory? Vaguely racist, if you ask me...

Eric - What's up?
You have a really informative, entertaining, and sometimes very personal blog. I came across your blog some time ago when I was considering starting one of my own, but never got it off the ground. I’ll be sure to make regularly visits.
Glad Randall won as well. I would have been disappointed if he was willing to share the spotlight.

That Brother has FIVE college degrees: BS-Rutgers, MA-Oxford, The Last Three-MIT ?!??!? (His PhD was on bridging the digital divide among children in Roxbury.) He should NEVER have to share anything again. Trump, Randall and the RunnerUp were on the Today Show this morning. I am SOOO proud, like I know him or something...LOL

Black men usually stand behind "brothers" and "sisters." Had Rebecca been African-American, I have no doubt that Randal would have encouraged Trump to hire her as well. Instead, Randal indulged his considerable racism and revealed himself to be so incredibly and foolishly selfish.

I think that last question was a Trump test question to see how deep Randall's competitive edge was. Trump is a hard core, cut-throat, New York businessman and he probably wanted to test the weight of Randall's cajones. If Randall got all kumbaya and friendly during the finale, he might have gotten fired. Successful Black businessmen (just like other successful business people of any race) have a history of standing behind whoever will further their interests, be they Black, white, female, or green Martian. Why call Randall racist and "foolishly selfish" if he chooses not to give affirmative action to a white female? The other two winners (from the prior seasons) didnt have to share. Randall deserves to have this win all to himself.

you know i was going to put in my two cents but chezniki said it all.

randall was supposed to win. any other result and the latent racism existing in corporate america would have been totally exposed. the brotha was above and beyond the most qualified for the gig. it wasn't even close.
and chez...on point as usual.
anon...why not ask trump why he always brings in a couple of token blacks, all of whom are so heavily credentialed it boggles the mind why they would find it necessary to even be on trump's show. a white guy with all of the creds randall had wouldn't even have to look trump's way.
